It's hard to believe that SPRING is in the air! Along with warmer temperatures and longer days comes the annual Pennsylvania System of School Assessments. The PSSA assessment is a chance for our students to show the rest of the state their intelligence.
It is our time to shine and take advantage of this opportunity. Our focus during the test time is the three A's: ATTENDANCE, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND ATTITUDE!
ATTENDANCE - Make sure students are in school on time every day of the testing dates. If possible, please schedule necessary appointments for after school. A free breakfast with be available for all students during the test dates.
ACCOUNTABILITY- Students are responsible for their performance on the test. Their performance is not only a reflection of them but also of our school. Encourage them to do well, to take pride in their work, and to always do their best!
ATTITUDE - Create a supportive and positive environment. Make sure they get plenty of sleep, urge them to eat a healthy breakfast and wear comfortable clothes to school, ask them to check over their answers and take their time, praise them when they get home at the end of the day and applaud their efforts!
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the assessments, please do not hesitate to contact the school office. Thank you for your continued support of AG North's Academic Excellence. I look forward to finishing the 2012-2013 school year strong!
