Attendance Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. Mickey’s third grade class! They are the D. Ferd Dollar attendance winners for the month of March. We will celebrate their accomplishment with an ice cream sundae party in the cafeteria.
Kindergarten Registration
Registration for students entering Kindergarten at D. Ferd Swaney for the 2013-2014 school year will be held on Thursday, May 2. If you know of any parent with a child who will begin Kindergarten next year, please encourage them to register on this date. This early registration allows us to plan for the correct number of students for the upcoming school year.
Spring Program
On Thursday, May 23rd the Kindergarten, First and Second Grade classes will present “The Bear Went Over the Mountain!” in the school’s multipurpose room. The first performance is at 9:30 AM for parents of children in all Kindergarten classrooms and Mrs. Rozgony’s homeroom. At 2:00 PM, the children will perform for parents with children in all Second grade classrooms and Mrs. Pukl’s First grade homeroom. Mr. Gift asks that all students in Grades K-2 wear nice Spring colors for the program on May 23rd.
*AR Reading Rock Stars*
Mrs. Pramuk’s “AR Reading Rock Star Celebration” will be held DURING Library Classes on May28th and 29th . Students may dress like a Rock Star! Mrs. Pramuk would like to thank all her students and parents for their fantastic reading efforts throughout the school year!! Keep reading during the summer months!

Student Dress Code
A copy of the Albert Gallatin Area School District’s Dress Code Policy is attached to this newsletter. Please become familiar with it. It is strictly enforced.
FOR SAFETY REASONS
Flip Flops are NOT to be worn in
school. Also, any sandal type shoe must have a strap around the
back of the ankle.
