Power Up Tip of the Day . . . . Remember to use the MyPlate visual to help control portion size. Fill the left half of your plate with fruits and veggies and on the right should be a small portion of protein and whole grains. Don’t forget the Dairy on the side!
The Summer STEM Camp is a week of hands-on educational programming that will focus on the practical applications of sc ience, technology, engineering, and math in everyday life. This camp is designed for students entering the 9th and 10th grades. Students are responsible for transportation arrangements. The Program is at Penn State University and applications may be obtained in the guidance office.
The library is open after school on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:20 – 4:20 for students to research, type papers, work on senior projects, etc. Students must provide own transportation home. Sign up in the library with Mrs.Cowsert or Ms. Hathaway.
The library is promoting reading by organizing a “Get Caught Reading” campaign. If you are “caught” reading a book or magazine during the week, your name is placed in a drawing to win a free book or a magazine. Every Friday a free book or magazine will be given away to someone who has been “caught” reading. See the librarian, Mrs.Cowsert, if you have any questions.
