1. What are your thoughts on the Promethean Board?

2. If you had the opportunity to receive a Promethean Board, how would you take advantage of it, or do you feel that it wouldn't be a great use in your particular content?

3. If you had an interactive board, how often would you see yourself or your students using it? every day? once a week? once a month?, etc.
I think the Promethean Boards are an excellent tool! If I had the opportunity to receive one, I would absolutely take it. From what I have seen of these boards, I think that I would probably use them several times a week in my classes.
I think that the Promethean Board is a very interesting tool to have in the classroom. I like it because it has various functions and the students would be interested in what they were learning, simply because it was something new to them. There is a Promethean Board in the room that I am in, but I need to gain more knowledge about it and familiarize myself with it before using it.
The Promethean Board is awesome..... I am amazed by its capabilities! Many of my students are visual learners so the uses for the Promethean Board in my classroom are endless. I would definitely like to have one and could see myself using it often. The students would love to have this type of technology in our room. As with all students, my students would find lessons much more interesting using the Promethean Board.

I agree with you, Karen, that this is a great tool for all students. If you get one, will you share it with me?
The Promethean board can be a great asset in a classroom. It allows the teacher to demonstrate to the students what tasks are to be taken on an in what order. For example, I had students pull up a website that encompassed an activity on mitosis and meiosis. I also had the site pulled up on the promethean. I was able to demonstrate to the students what exactly I wanted them to do. The board can take the place of an overhead projector and can display digital files good for demonstrations and note taking. Students can see pictures and many other visual aids on this device.
The interactive board allows the teacher to control the computer from the board itself which aids in explanations and helps in keeping an eye on the students as well. I try to use the technology atleast twice a week in my class since my classroom is set up already with this technology.
I like the promethean board, but it does require additional work, which I dont like.

The Promethean board is a good resource, I also will need more experience to become familiar with it to use it to it's full potential.
I think the Promethean board would be a welcomed change of pace. I would love to use it for authors and themes, etc. However, I would use it sparingly because I wouldn't want it to become mundane.

Iwould be afraid it would lose its appeal.
I think the Promethean boards are very useful in classroom instruction and could keep the students motivated by letting the students interact more throughout the lesson. I can definately see myself using this at least several times a week for my lessons.
Prior to this course I have never seen a Promethean Board. I think it could be helpful to show examples and to be an introduction to a lesson. I would use it once or twice a week in my classes.
I would also use the board once or twice a week.
The board is a great resource for visual learners also to engage students. Students seem intimidating to be in front of the classroom and do interactive work, however the more they use the board the more comfortable they are using it.
